Is UNGM registration enough to supply UN agencies in Iraq?
UNGM registration alone does not establish that your company has completed every step needed to supply a particular UN agency in Iraq. An agency can use a separate supplier portal, and responding to a procurement notice remains separate work. Start with the named buyer and its current instructions.
Three things a supplier should distinguish
For an Iraqi company considering UN procurement, the useful question is which buyer needs its goods or services. A logistics business, an equipment supplier and a maintenance company may target different requirements. Buying registration support before choosing that buyer can leave the purpose of the engagement unclear.

UNHCR Iraq gives a concrete example
On its Iraq tender announcements page, UNHCR directs interested companies to its supplier registration portal. It also encourages registration on UNGM. Its supplier guidance explicitly distinguishes the UNHCR portal from UNGM.
For a company targeting UNHCR, treating an existing UNGM profile as proof that its agency registration is complete would therefore be a mistake. For a different agency, check that agency’s current instructions rather than assuming the UNHCR arrangement applies everywhere.
Registration is free; professional support is separate
UNGM confirms that supplier registration is free. Access to the procurement opportunities published there is also free. Its optional paid email service is separate from registration.

Agree what your registration engagement covers
Tell the provider what your company supplies and which agency you want to serve. If you have identified a procurement notice, name it. These details give the engagement a commercial purpose and make it easier to distinguish registration work from work on a specific opportunity.
For example, a supplier with an existing UNGM profile may need support for a named agency’s registration. Another company may need to establish its UNGM profile first. Those are different assignments even if both are described casually as “UN registration”. This is an illustrative distinction, not a statement about a particular client.
