Vendor RegistrationBy Updated

Which vendor-registration route should a supplier in Iraq review?

At a glance

Start with the work you want to bid for and the body that buys it. A supplier application, a government classification and a tender submission serve different purposes. Confirm the relevant route before preparing documents.

Review government and buyer routes separately

Do not treat one approval as permission to bid everywhere. Identify the receiving body, the activity category and the opportunity’s own requirements. The vendor-registration page brings the routes together for an initial review.

Registration and tender routes for suppliers in Iraq
RouteWhen to review itWhat it does not replace
Buyer supplier listReview when a named buyer uses its own supplier registration or qualification route.Does not replace that buyer’s tender requirements or guarantee an invitation.
Authority classification or approvalReview when the activity or opportunity calls for a particular authority’s classification or approval.Does not automatically register your company with individual buyers.
UNGM supplier registrationReview when pursuing procurement from participating United Nations organisations.Does not replace a bid for a specific opportunity or guarantee a contract.
Tender responsePrepare when pursuing an identified opportunity with stated submission requirements and a deadline.Does not substitute for registrations or approvals required by that opportunity.

Kurdistan registration routes

The KRG Approved Suppliers Center and Ministry of Natural Resources routes serve different registration needs. The relevant choice depends on the work your company wants to pursue in the Kurdistan Region.

Federal classification and individual buyers

For federal work and individual buyers, focus on the approval relevant to your intended activity. Keybridge supports an agreed registration scope; the authority or buyer retains the acceptance decision.

UNGM and invitation-only opportunities

UNGM offers a supplier route for participating United Nations organisations. Invitation-only supplier lists are another route to consider for suitable buyers. In either case, registration does not guarantee an invitation or award.

For UN buyers, read whether UNGM registration covers agency-specific portals in Iraq before defining your support engagement.

UNGM registration itself is free. Any investment in Keybridge’s support is for the agreed service, not a UNGM registration charge. UNGM also states that suppliers must pursue specific opportunities: registration alone does not provide a contract.

Agree the applications and follow-up

Start with three details: what your company supplies, the buyer you want to work with, and any opportunity or deadline you are working towards. If you have not selected a buyer, say which sector and part of Iraq you intend to serve.

The engagement investment reflects the selected routes and agreed support. Official charges, where applicable, are identified separately.

Questions

Which route should we start with?
The one required by the buyer or work you are targeting. Tell us your activity and target buyer.
Does one approval cover every buyer?
Do not assume so. Check each buyer’s current requirements and whether it accepts the approval you hold.
Will you manage renewals?
Where included in the agreement. We identify the relevant dates and responsibilities for the selected registrations.
Can we register without a consultant?
Check the chosen route’s rules. UNGM allows suppliers to register directly, free of charge. Keybridge’s support is a separate service for companies that want help coordinating an agreed application scope.
Should we register on every supplier list?
Start with buyers that purchase what your company can deliver. Review each route’s relevance and eligibility before committing time or investment.
