How long does ISO certification take in Iraq?
The time needed depends on how much preparation your company needs and when the certification body can assess it. The customer’s requirement, your activities and the records already in use give the schedule its starting point.
The deadline is a starting point for the discussion
A customer may ask for a certificate before approving a supplier or receiving a bid. That gives your company a target date, but it does not show how much work remains. A business with procedures in use and current records starts from a different position from one documenting its system for the first time.
The initial review should connect the requested standard with the activities, sites and evidence already in place. That makes it possible to discuss a preparation schedule with clear assumptions.
A second site can change the work
Consider an equipment business with a repair workshop and a separate warehouse. The proposed scope needs to reflect the activities and locations to be covered. Responsibilities and records may sit with different teams, so the work cannot be estimated from the company name alone.
Preparation also involves putting the agreed procedures into use. A completed folder does not, by itself, demonstrate how the company manages purchasing, service work or customer complaints.
Give each part of the preparation an owner
Your team still has customers and daily work to manage during ISO preparation. A useful plan makes clear what Keybridge will prepare, what your company must put into use and who provides the records needed for assessment.

Agree those responsibilities around the activities and sites being covered. Missing records or unresolved responsibilities can affect readiness even when the documentation has been prepared.
Keep preparation and certification separate
Keybridge supports the agreed preparation work. The certification body assesses the management system and decides whether to issue the certificate. ISO develops standards and does not certify companies itself.
The assessment schedule depends on the body’s arrangements and the company’s readiness. Findings may require further work. A customer deadline does not transfer the certification decision to the adviser helping with preparation.
Agree the next step around the requirement
Confirm what the buyer needs by the deadline. Where a certificate is required, preparation documents are a substitute only if the buyer expressly accepts them.

- Can a preparation schedule also guarantee the certificate date?
- No. Preparation, assessment arrangements and the certification decision are separate. Any proposed date needs to account for company readiness and the certification body’s review.
- Why do two ISO quotations differ?
- They may cover different activities, sites, preparation support or assessment work. Compare the scope and responsibilities before comparing the investment.
- What if the tender deadline is close?
